Navitas in Europe
the powertrain beneath every Wayfinder
Canadian-engineered electric drive systems, exclusively distributed across Europe by Wayfinder.
Navitas parts for the golf cars you already run
Wayfinder builds complete vehicles. But as the exclusive European distributor for Navitas, we also supply the drive components on their own — controllers, AC motors, complete conversion kits, displays and programmers — for Club Car, E-Z-GO and Yamaha vehicles already in service across Europe.
One supplier, one warranty contact, shipped from the Netherlands. Whether you run a single car or a fleet of forty, you order the part here instead of importing it from North America.

A world authority in electric drive
Navitas Vehicle Systems is one of the most respected names in electric propulsion. From its engineering and manufacturing campus in Waterloo, Ontario, Navitas designs the motors, controllers, displays and software that move far more than golf carts. Its drive systems are trusted across forklifts and shunt trucks, mining and agricultural machinery, airport people movers and urban mobility platforms — anywhere electric power has to be delivered with precision, efficiency and absolute reliability.
That breadth is the point. A company that can electrify an industrial vehicle to commercial standards brings a different order of engineering discipline to a premium personal vehicle. With a recently expanded research and manufacturing facility and a vertically integrated model spanning hardware, software, integration and testing, Navitas develops every layer of the drivetrain in-house. Few suppliers in this category can say the same — and until now, Navitas technology has been hard to access on this side of the Atlantic.
The platform
we build on
Every Wayfinder model is built on the Navitas multipurpose chassis platform — the high-end, fully integrated foundation that gives our vehicles their character. At its heart sits a Navitas AC induction motor paired with the 600-amp TAC2 controller, CAN-connected display and disc braking.
The choice of AC induction over older DC systems is deliberate. It delivers smoother acceleration, stronger torque on inclines, regenerative braking that returns energy to the pack, quieter running and lower maintenance over the life of the vehicle. Because the controller is fully programmable over Bluetooth, each Wayfinder’s behaviour — speed, torque delivery, regenerative braking — can be tuned precisely to its purpose, whether that is a resort fleet, a private estate or a working utility vehicle.
Why operators move from DC to AC
Most golf cars in Europe still run a brushed DC motor and a controller that was designed in the nineties. An AC drivetrain changes five things you notice from the first drive, and a conversion is less invasive than most owners expect.
Torque from standstill
An AC induction motor delivers full torque at zero rpm. Loaded cars stop struggling on ramps, gravel and hill starts — the single most common complaint on ageing fleets.
Regenerative braking
Every descent puts energy back into the pack instead of into the brake shoes. You gain range on hilly sites and your brakes last considerably longer.
No brushes to replace
There is no commutator and there are no carbon brushes, so a recurring maintenance job simply disappears from the schedule.
Quieter operation
No brush noise and no contactor clunk on direction changes. On a hotel terrace, in a clubhouse or on a hospital site, that difference is immediately audible.
Programmable over Bluetooth
Top speed, acceleration and regen strength are set from your phone. Rental fleets can run one profile, staff vehicles another, without touching the wiring.
Sealed and protected
The TAC2 controller is IP65-sealed with waterproof AmpSeal connectors, plus thermal, under-voltage and rollback protection. Built for vehicles that live outdoors.
A premium vehicle is only as good as the system that drives it. Ours is engineered by a world leader in electric drive — and integrated and certified by Wayfinder as a complete, ready-to-use whole.
Which Navitas parts fit your vehicle
Find your make and model below. If your vehicle or your original controller is not listed, send us the details and we will confirm the correct part — the range covers considerably more than fits in one table. Not sure yet which part has failed? Work through the symptoms first — the cause is often cheaper than you think.

World-class components are the starting point. The complete, certified Wayfinder is the result. Explore the Wayfinder range built on the Navitas platform.
Ordering, delivery and warranty in Europe
Request a quotationHow to order
Send us your make, model, year and — if you know it — the controller currently fitted. We confirm the right part and send a quotation. Dealers and workshops order on trade terms; see below.
Delivery
Typical delivery is 10 to 15 working days. Shipping within Europe runs between € 75 and € 150 depending on destination and weight. All prices are quoted excluding VAT.
Warranty and returns are handled here
This is the part that matters most and the reason to order in Europe. Warranty claims and returns are handled by Wayfinder in the Netherlands. You do not ship a faulty controller back across the Atlantic, you do not deal with customs on a warranty return, and you do not wait for a reply from a different time zone. You talk to us, in your own working day.
Fitting: you or your workshop
We supply the parts. We do not fit them to other manufacturers’ vehicles — our workshop builds Wayfinders, and we would rather be excellent at supplying the right component than mediocre at servicing every brand on the market.
In practice this is rarely an obstacle. Navitas kits use a model-specific plug-and-play harness: the connectors only fit one way, and no soldering or fabrication is involved. No specialist tooling is required, which means any golf car workshop — and a good number of owners — can carry out the work with ordinary hand tools.
Navitas publishes full installation manuals, wiring diagrams and step-by-step videos for every supported vehicle, and our technical team in the Netherlands answers fitment questions by phone or email before you order. If you would rather have it done, your local golf car dealer or workshop can fit it for you.
For dealers and workshops
If you sell, rent out or service golf cars, you can order Navitas parts from us on trade terms and supply them to your own customers. Stocking a controller or a conversion kit turns a vehicle that would otherwise be written off into a job you can quote for.
Because no specialist tooling is needed, any workshop already servicing golf cars can start fitting Navitas components straight away. We are building our European dealer and service network now — get in touch and we will discuss terms.
Talk to us about trade termsFrequently asked questions about Navitas in Europe
Yes. Wayfinder is the exclusive European distributor for Navitas Vehicle Systems and supplies the full range from the Netherlands. You order within Europe, you are invoiced within Europe, and you deal with a European supplier for warranty.
Navitas supports most Club Car, E-Z-GO and Yamaha models, along with a number of other makes. The correct kit depends on the model, the build year and the controller currently fitted. Send us those three details and we will confirm the exact part.
It depends on the vehicle. Some platforms, including the Club Car Precedent, require the AC motor as part of the conversion. On other vehicles a controller replacement on its own is enough. The fitment table above shows which kits include a motor.
Typical delivery is 10 to 15 working days. Shipping runs between € 75 and € 150 depending on destination and weight, and all prices are quoted excluding VAT.
Warranty and returns are handled entirely by Wayfinder in the Netherlands. Nothing goes back to North America, there is no customs paperwork on a warranty return, and you deal with us during your own working day.
No. We supply parts but we do not work on other manufacturers’ vehicles — our workshop builds Wayfinders. You can fit the kit yourself or have your local golf car dealer or workshop do it.
No. The harness is model-specific and plug-and-play, with no soldering or fabrication involved. Ordinary workshop hand tools are enough, and Navitas publishes manuals, wiring diagrams and installation videos for every supported vehicle.
On a vehicle with a sound chassis, good suspension and a healthy battery pack, a conversion is usually the cheaper route by a wide margin. On a car with structural corrosion or a worn front end, it rarely is — and we will tell you so rather than sell you a kit.
